Nominations are now open for the IAGR International Regulatory Awards 2026, recognising gambling regulators who are advancing effective oversight and public confidence across the gaming landscape.

Nominations are invited across three categories:
- Regulatory excellence award
Leadership and measurable impact through regulatory initiatives and reform. - Regulatory innovation award
New approaches that strengthen oversight, compliance and player protection. - Best regulatory campaign award
Strategic communications that drive meaningful regulatory outcomes.
Key dates
- Nominations close: 31 August 2026
- Winners announced: during the IAGR Annual Conference in Lima, Peru (19-22 October 2026)

In 2025, the awards recognised the outstanding work of:
- Regulatory excellence award: NSW Independent Casino Commission (Australia)
For the three-year, milestone-driven remediation of Crown Sydney following the Bergin Inquiry which included the elimination of high-roller junkets, prevention of money laundering and the introduction of more scrutinised gambling harm minimisation measures. - Regulatory innovation award: Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (Nigeria)
For SAFEPLAY, a regulator-led self-exclusion platform designed to support consistent implementation across multiple operators. - Best regulatory campaign award: Danish Gambling Authority (Denmark)
For an education-focused programme supporting safer gambling awareness among young people.
