Sarah is the Director of Licensing and General Counsel for the Alderney Gambling Control Commission.
Having qualified as a Solicitor of England and Wales in 1997, Sarah moved to Alderney in 1999 to fulfil the role of Clerk of the Court of Alderney. This included being Company Registrar, Land Registrar and Registrar of Births Deaths and Marriages.
Sarah qualified as an Advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey in 2003 and was appointed as Greffier of Alderney, which encompassed the above role with being the Clerk to the States of Alderney (the Parliament).
Sarah was appointed General Counsel of the Alderney Gambling Control Commission in 2015 and was promoted to a position on the Executive Committee shortly thereafter. In 2018, Sarah took over the position of Director of Licensing and Enforcement.
Sarah is a trained Moneyval Assessor and a Director of the Gambling Regulators European Forum. She also is on the Board of the Alderney Wildlife Trust and Alderney Housing Association.
Alderney is part of the Channel Islands and is 3 miles by 1 mile at its widest point, with a population of 2,000. It is located 60 miles from the south coast of England and 10 miles from the west coast of France.
