Her journey in the industry began in 2008 as the inaugural Legal Adviser & Board Secretary of the Lagos State Lotteries Board, (now Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority)- the foremost gaming regulatory authority in Nigeria. responsible for the formalization of Nigeria’s gaming sector.
Transitioning to the role of Special Adviser to the DG at the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, Olafadeke spearheaded reforms in revenue generation, licensing, and compliance reporting. With nearly two decades of experience, she played a pivotal role in policy formulation, legislative development, and licensing frameworks at both state and national levels.
She is the Managing Partner, WYS Solicitors, the first gaming specialist firm in Nigeria, providing strategic guidance to stakeholders entering African markets, instituting corporate governance and compliance practices. Olafadeke also leads the gaming department at SteelRose Legal, UK where she is a legal Counsel & Partner (Africa).
A lawyer, certified personnel manager, and chartered secretary, Olafadeke holds an MBA and a postgraduate degree in Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics. She is a fervent advocate for responsible gaming and the advancement of the African gambling industry, evident in her co-founding of SLEC Africa, a platform dedicated to capacity building and education within the gaming industry.
