About Londani:
Londani Mathavhane is a Senior Manager heading the Compliance Business Unit of the Limpopo Gambling Board (South Africa), since 2011. The Business Unit comprises three Units dealing with Investigations and Licensing, Gambling control, and Compliance Audit. Prior to 2011, Londani was a Manager: Compliance Audit at the Limpopo Gambling Board since 2003.
Londani has presented at the Gaming Regulators Africa Forum (GRAF) conferences on the following topics (i) The impact of the lack of Training and Accreditation in the gambling industry, GRAF – Botswana (2018), (ii) Gambling Tax: Is it fair, in GRAF-Ghana (2016) and (iii) Monitoring Licence Conditions, GRAF – Malawi (2007).
He participates in various South African gambling regulators’ forums dealing with gambling compliance and related gambling matters.
In the period 2000 to 2003, Londani was employed as a Compliance Auditor at the National Lotteries Commission. In the position, he was responsible for conducting regulatory audits of the National Lottery Operator, as well as monitoring the use of lottery proceeds disbursements allocated to non-profit organizations.
At the beginning of his career, Londani worked for the Auditor General of South Africa as an Auditor for a period of two years. In the position, he was responsible for conducting audits at various National Government Departments.
Londani is a Master of Business Leadership Graduate from the University of South Africa specializing in strategy.
He holds a B com Honours degree and Post Graduate qualifications in Risk management and Education. He also obtained an Executive Management Certificate and a B.com (Accounting) degree.
