About Carl:
Carl Brincat served as Chief Executive of the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) from January 2021 to January 2024, having joined the regulator in 2014 as a legal advisor. He also held roles as the regulator’s Chief Legal Counsel and Chief Legal and Enforcement Officer.
Brincat left MGA in January after the expiration of his three-year fixed appointment as CEO. He held multiple positions during his nine-year tenure with the company, including Chief Legal Counsel, Chief Legal & Enforcement Officer and, most recently, CEO. As of August, Brincat serves as Director of Policy and Regulatory Affairs, reporting to LeoVegas chief legal and compliance officer Abby Cosgrave.
