About Annette:

Annette was appointed the CEO of the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) in March 2022.  She has led a complete transformation of the regulator and its approach to ensuring the integrity, safety and fairness of Victoria’s gambling industry.

She has more than 40 years professional and commercial experience in both the public and private sectors.  Prior to joining VGCCC, Annette’s executive career included a range of senior leadership and regulatory roles in Australia and internationally, including at CEO-level, with MinterEllison (Australia’s largest law firm), Ernst & Young and the International Accounting Standards Board.  She has an extensive local and international leadership track record in designing and implementing complex transformations of local, regional and global regulatory systems and highly regulated businesses and functions.

Annette also has significant board-level experience, spanning multiple industries and markets, including highly regulated sectors such as aviation, financial services and education.  She is a former Victorian Chair of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand and was a member of the Business Council of Australia’s Economic Policy and Competitiveness Committee (2018-2021).  In 2019, Annette was appointed ‘Pay Equity Ambassador’ by the Australian Government’s Workplace Gender Equality Agency in recognition of her significant contribution to empowering and supporting women and in advocating for gender pay equity.

Annette is a Monash University Fellow and was awarded an Order of Australia in the Queen’s Birthday 2020 Honours list for significant service to business and to gender equality and inclusion.
