SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA TO HOST FIVE-DAY GAMING REGULATION COURSE

Australian regulator Liquor & Gaming NSW (L&GNSW) has announced it will be hosting a five-day training program for regulatory agencies in the Asia-Pacific region.

L&GNSW is partnering with UNLV’s International Center for Gaming Regulation (ICGR) to conduct the inaugural regulatory program in Sydney during the second half of 2019.

The program is being informed by feedback from regulators across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore and will focus on international best practice in gaming regulation. The course will also provide opportunities for participants to share knowledge and learnings from their respective jurisdictions to help improve gaming regulation and collaboration across the Asia-Pacific.

To deliver a tailored program, ICGR sent out a detailed pre-course survey to selected regulatory agencies to better understand their specific training needs. ICGR is now analysing the survey responses in consultation with L&GNSW, and will use this feedback to help develop the content and focus of the five-day program.

L&GNSW will be making a small number of spots available on the training program for IAGR members to nominate attendees and will circulate further information about this opportunity in coming weeks.
