As I pen my first message in the role of President of IAGR, I’m filled with a sense of responsibility and excitement. It’s an honour to step into this role, and I’m deeply committed to advancing our shared mission.

Last month’s conference in Botswana was a truly memorable experience, and its success was a collective effort. I’d like to extend a special thank you to all our speakers and panellists who generously shared their time, insights and expertise, enriching our discussions and broadening our perspectives. To our attendees, your active participation and engagement were the lifeblood of the conference, and I’m grateful for the energy and enthusiasm you brought to every session and networking event.

Our hosts, the Botswana Gambling Authority, provided us with an experience that went well beyond the conference halls. The cultural food, dance, and music were a vibrant testament to Botswana’s rich heritage. This unmatched hospitality, combined with the warm Botswana weather, made the IAGR2023 unforgettable.

Finally, thank you to the conference sponsors and partners. And in particular, thanks to GLI for putting on their morning seminar, creating even more value for attendees.

Approaching 2024 I’m optimistic about the opportunities that lie ahead for our members. We’re exploring more avenues to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration. Our collective expertise is our greatest strength, and I believe that by leveraging this, we can drive meaningful change in the world of gaming regulation.

I eagerly anticipate seeing many of you in the historic city of Rome for IAGR2024. It promises to be another enriching experience.
