President’s comments – February 2024
With each new year comes fresh intentions, and at IAGR, we’re embracing 2024 with a spirit of renewed collaboration and ambitious goals that cross borders and time zones.
We’ve hit the ground running with the formation of the Illegal Gambling Working Group, a direct response to the pressing needs you’ve told us are top of mind.
If you’re and IAGR member and you’re interested in playing a part in it, you can find out more information here.
This month, I went to London for the ICE event – and what a pleasure it was to connect with so many of you there. In collaboration with the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL), we hosted a Masterclass that sparked insightful conversations (pictured below).
Preparing for IAGR2024
Looking ahead, we’re pleased to continue our collaboration this year with IMGL as we join forces to bring to life the upcoming Rome conference.
Gear up for sessions designed just for IAGR attendees, as well as collaborative segments alongside our IMGL colleagues. This intermingling of knowledge and perspectives promises to be a highlight of the year.
Our chosen theme, ‘Navigating the future of gaming regulation in a transforming world’, couldn’t be more relevant. Amid rapid industry advances, this theme challenges us to rethink and adapt our regulatory strategies to continue to effectively navigate change.
We need voices that can contribute meaningfully to this dialogue. If you have insights, experiences, or forward-looking ideas that align with our theme, I encourage you to step forward as a speaker or panelist. Send in your submissions by 29 February and become integral to shaping our collective future. Find out more here.
Together, we have the experience to meet the challenges that transformation brings. I look forward to collaborating with IAGR members throughout this promising year, especially at IAGR2024 in the historic heart of Rome.
Ben Haden, President of IAGR
