About Carrie:

Carrie Torrisi is the Chief of Sports Wagering at the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC), where she leads the MGC’s newest division responsible for the comprehensive oversight of sports wagering operations in Massachusetts.

Torrisi’s tenure at the MGC began with the Legal Department in 2015, first as Associate General Counsel before being promoted to Deputy General Counsel. During her time in the Legal Department, Torrisi played a key role in launching both casino gaming and sports wagering in Massachusetts and served as the Legal Department’s primary contact for the Sports Wagering Division on all relevant matters.

Torrisi began her legal career as an attorney for the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety, where she provided guidance on regulatory requirements and policy development.
