President’s comments
February 2023
Dear IAGR members
I hope this message finds you well and ready for what promises to be another year of challenges and opportunities in our ever-evolving industry.
Despite the struggles of the past few years, we’ve seen progress and advancements on a global scale. As we navigate more uncertain times, it’s crucial that we continue to come together as a community of regulators to collaborate and share knowledge.
Here at IAGR, we remain committed to connecting gaming regulators from all corners of the world to learn, share information, and discuss best practice. Our upcoming IAGR2023 conference in Botswana will allow us to do just that.
I had the pleasure of attending ICE London earlier this month, where I was thrilled to see so many IAGR members and stakeholders from across the sector in person. The IAGR Board also met with representatives from the Botswana Gambling Commission to progress plans for the upcoming conference.
Speaking of which, IAGR Vice-President Ben Haden recently visited Gaborone, Botswana, to meet the host team and explore potential venues for the conference. Time flies, and it will be upon us before we know it.
To those who have submitted a speaking proposal for the conference, thank you for your interest and dedication to sharing your expertise. For those who are still considering submitting, I urge you to do so before the end of this month.
I look forward to connecting with you soon.
Best regards,
Jason Lane, President of IAGR
