About Tom:
Tom is the Chief Executive Officer and Registrar at the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario – Canada’s most populace province. With the AGCO since 2006, Tom works with the Board of the AGCO and the executive team overseeing and regulating numerous industries and sectors including: all commercial casino, charitable, and internet gaming; lotteries; horse racing; retail recreational cannabis; and the alcohol industry including its hospitality and manufacturing sectors.
Focused on developing high performing organizations and leading transformative change, Tom’s work experience includes both the private and public sectors in such diverse fields as regulation, law enforcement, correctional services, and banking.
Valuing collaboration, strong stakeholder relations, and information sharing Tom sits on numerous Boards and Committees including: the International Association of Gaming Regulator’s Board of Trustees where he also chairs its Compliance and Enforcement sub-committee; and as Secretary and Board member of the North American Gaming Regulators Association where he co-chairs NAGRA’s internet gaming interest group. Active in his community, Tom sits on the Town of Newmarket’s Audit Committee.
