Great Britain remains one of the most closely watched gambling jurisdictions in the world, and recent developments there continue to influence regulatory thinking well beyond its borders. This keynote will examine the most consequential current changes in Great Britain, including what they reveal about shifting regulatory expectations and how they may shape policy, compliance, product oversight, and market conduct in other jurisdictions. It will also highlight the significance of additional government funding for the Gambling Commission’s illegal gambling work and the importance of continued international collaboration, including through IAGR’s Illegal Gambling Working Group, in strengthening collective action against illegal operators.
